Rob Huntley > Covered Bridge on Chemin Cross Loop south of Wakefield, Québec. Just after the end of Hwy 5 (soon to be extended so these directions may lose accuracy) turn north on Hwy 105 and a few hundered metres later take Chemin Pine to the west. Turn right on Chemin Cross Loop a few hundred metres later. This picture was taken from a camera rig suspended below a kite (Kite Aerial Photography - KAP).

Rob Huntley > L'Eglise St-Alphonse-de-Ligouri in Chapeau, Quebec. In the background is part of the village of Chapeau. We are looking at the downstream section of the north channel of the Ottawa River.

Chapeau, Quebec is on Allumette Island (L'Isle-aux-Allumettes), a 22 km x 12 km island in the Ottawa River. Pembroke is on the Ontario side, beside the southern channel and Chapeau is on the Quebec side, beside the northern channel and situated on Allumette Island itself.

The area also includes Morrison Island, Marcotte Island, and some smaller islands.

No! I am not carrying a rifle. Just because I use a rifle case to transport kites on airlines, it doesn't mean I own a firearm. I'm a long way from the car so, not being entirely sure of my requirements, I carried two kites into Fortune Lake. The Levi-Light is in the air, the FLED is under my arm.
